Joan makes the best breakfast on the Big Island of Hawaii! I stayed in two of her rooms at the 'Goose' where I enjoyed the beautiful way she has the rooms decorated. I have told many friends of the Hawaiian hospitality that Joan extends to all her guests. I will be returning soon for a longer stay. Thank you again for helping to make my visit to Hawaii very relaxing and peaceful.

This is the most wonderful place to stay, the food is absolutely fabulous and Joan is a marvel. Everyone feels welcomed and like part of the family. The Dome Hale is 'out of sight!' If I ever get back to the Big Island, I plan on staying in another of the Country Goose houses. God Bless You Joan!

We bring our retreat group to the Country Goose about three times a year now and everyone loves it here! We are so proud to bring our group to stay with Joan at the Country Goose. We've looked at and even stayed at many other places in Volcano and Joan's Country Goose is the best! Everyone loves Joan's Hawaiian Aloha hospitality, and her delicious 5 star breakfasts. Joan treats her guest like Royalty...it is such a treat to spend time at the Goose with Joan. I think its the best kept secret on the Island. You will be pleasantly surprised at how lovely your experience will be when you stay at the Country Goose.

Joan, your hospitality and accommodations are second to none. The incredible 3-course breakfast every morning provided me with enough fuel to explore the wonders of the Big Island all day long without having to stop for lunch. Of course, the quality of The Country Goose should come as no surprise since it is being run so well by a good ol' Pennsylvania girl!
